When Susy Ybos married her plumber husband Clarence, she never thought she would have the position of president of Louisiana Plumbing LLC, the company they formed in 1994. The company has been consistent winners of the Locals Love Us favorite plumbers in the Shreveport-Bossier City area. Even though she has a business degree from the University of Georgia, most of Susy’s work was as a volunteer and part time at a seasonal gift shop.
The direction of the business changed when they decided to move into residential service work. Before that, Louisiana Plumbing was involved in the plumbing of several casino boats and the renovation of apartment complexes and public housing. She enjoyed the traveling that was involved-mostly to New Orleans. But when the phone started ringing, someone had to answer and Susy became a customer service representative, dispatcher, bookkeeper and everything else that goes with running the office and growing a business. The main focus of Louisiana Plumbing is to provide outstanding customer service and to be on time. They don’t believe in making a homeowner wait all day for a service call. Their customers know what something will cost before any work begins, so there is no price shock. With targeted training and yearly continuing education, technicians are better able to communicate benefits and features to the customer. We do it Right. On Time. Every time.
