THOMAS COOK
BAYOU TITLE
Thomas Cook has been the managing attorney of the Bossier City office of Bayou Title, Inc. since May of 2020. Along with his partner, Thomas Hamauei, Thomas serves Bayou Title’s sister office located on Ashley Ridge Boulevard in Shreveport. Prior to specializing in commercial and residential real estate closings, Thomas’ practice consisted of insurance defense litigation, medical malpractice defense, trucking litigation and oil and gas title work.
Thomas credits his partner, Thomas Hamauei, and his title/real estate practice, in many ways, for saving his career and life. It was not until entering his current field of the law that he found one of his many passions. He takes great pride in the opportunity to serve the buyers, sellers, realtors and lenders who walk through his doors on a daily basis and is always grateful for the opportunity to play an integral role of what is often times the largest investment in someone’s life. He strives to treat each transaction as if it was for a family member and revels in witnessing someone’s hard-earned goals and dreams come true. He goes to work every day blessed to do something he loves. Having grown up in Shreveport – Bossier City, Thomas is a proud 2003 graduate of C. E. Byrd High School and 2008 alum of Louisiana State University. Thomas received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University of New Orleans – College of Law in May 2011 and has maintained his law license since October 2011. On a personal level, Thomas devotes his time to his wife, Katie, and his three (soon to be four) children, who are known as the “cookies”. His hobbies include hiking, rock climbing, running, cooking and binge-watching the latest streaming series. Thomas is also a certified health coach striving to lead with his health and encouraging others to live their best life by creating one healthy habit at a time. Thomas is on the Board of Champions for Holy Angels and an active parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Shreveport. He is a proud member of the Louisiana Land Title Association, the Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen, the Shreveport Bar Association and the Louisiana Bar Association. If you are looking to buy or sell commercial or residential property, no matter the size, Thomas would be grateful for your call. Thomas and his team will treat you like family and ensure you walk away from your closing knowing your best interests were served well. Thomas H. J.
